Onirix Closure Announcement
After more than 10 years since we founded the parent company of Onirix, and nearly 7 years since the launch of our first MVP, we are now, with great regret, faced with the difficult decision to begin the process of closing the company.
The world of Augmented Reality (AR) and Extended Reality (XR) continues to evolve rapidly. We firmly believe in its long-term potential to transform our daily lives. However, the market explosion that was anticipated years ago has not fully materialized in a clear and sustained way. For this reason, the Onirix team is now entering a process of orderly shutdown.
We want to send a clear message to all our customers: Onirix’s service and technology will remain active until September 1st, 2026, honoring our commitment to all active annual accounts. During this period, we will no longer be able to offer technical or commercial support, but we will do our utmost to ensure that the platform remains available and stable under the same conditions as it is today.
We would like to deeply thank everyone who has been part of this exciting journey:

- To our investors, who believed in our vision and helped us turn Onirix into a globally recognized platform.
- To all public institutions, especially the Asturian ecosystem, for their continuous support throughout our journey.
- And especially to the talented team of professionals who brought Onirix to life with their dedication and commitment, building a product used in over 100 countries, with a go-to-market strategy capable of selling in 32 countries from Spain, democratizing the use of augmented reality through a world-class user experience. A team that overcame challenges such as making SLAM work on iOS, and led the industry by creating the first web-based Vision Positioning System (VPS) integrated with a content management system. We are incredibly proud of this team.
